Topical research materials gathered by Arthur Hart for various projects - Arid Club, aviation, baseball, Basque Museum & Cultural Center; International Baque Cultural Center, Morrison Knudsen Company, Boise Police, Chinese, Idaho photographers.

This collection consists of the work of two Idaho photographers, George E. Tonkin and William Bach. The collection was given to the historical society by Mr. Bach.

The collection was divided between the two photographers: Box 1 - 10, George Tonkin: Box 1 - 8, negatives, gelatin dry plate Box 9 - 10, prints

Box 11 - 13, William Bach: Box 11 - 12, prints Box 13, negatives, acetate

Collection contains negatives (black & white, 3 in. x 4 in.), photoprints and scrapbooks that document various news stories. Some of the topics covered are the Idaho Emergency Relief Administration, construction of Boise Junior College, visitors to Boise, parades, buildings, and scenes. An inventory has been prepared and a selection of negatives has been scanned.

Nagel (founder of Idaho Camera), Ed Bartlett (Technical Representative for Eastman Kodak), Channing Fanckboner (Idaho Camera employee, part owner of Bach Photo), Johnny Estano (owner of Estano Studio & Camera) and Robert Harold Sigler (owner of Sigler Studio).
